Gagarin Cup Pro Women’s Baduk Championship (1994-present)
Gagarin Cup Pro Women’s Baduk Championship, launched in 1994, is hosted by the Korea Economic Daily, organized by Korea Baduk Association, and sponsored by Dong-A Socio Holdings (KRW63 million sponsorship).
After preliminary matches, 16-member group tournaments are held to select the finalists. The three final matches determine the winner. Each player is given three hours playing time, with an extra time of five 60-second counts. The first-place winner is awarded KRW12 million, and the second-place winner, KRW5 million.
